Why We Joined
The contemporary food system is predominantly globalized and agro-industrialized. The many limits and criticisms addressed to it can be connected to an excess of globalization and agro-industrialization. We are working on a revival of local food economies, but we know that part of the coming transition must be based on a new responsibility of the major players globalized toward territories (pay taxes, attention to natural resources, to human communities, to food crops …). It is interesting and necessary to cross sectoral and territorial approaches, particularly in this area of agriculture and food.

The program is based on a work of observation of the TAA actors’ initiatives, public policy measures dedicated to the TAA and territorial dynamics of TAA. Beyond observation, the program participates to support actions, and to the capitalization and the enhancement of transition dynamics.
We have worked on the history of the contemporary food system, mainly its globalization and agro-industrialization.
Different components of the agricultural and food system, including the non-market performance or externalities of food production or consumption systems.
Mainly local authorities, but also university and / or scientific teams, associations, producer organizations.
Activities in France but in the process of internationalization (today a dozen countries, but participates in the construction of an international program).
Strategies For Change
We are working on the determinants of the agricultural and food transition: the re-localization of the different links of the food chains, the agro-ecological revolution of the agricultural production, the quality food for all.
